Active with the Logistics Officers Association, Carl Buhler has served with the US Air Force for nearly three decades. Stationed at the Air Combat Command (ACC) headquarters in Virginia, Carl Buhler’s most recent responsibilities spanned engineering, logistics, and force protection activities. He was tasked with ensuring seamless maintenance, repair, and sustainment of aircraft and vehicles that ensured readiness for combat. Mr. Buhler’s activities included coordination with other major commands, staff agencies, wings, and the Inspector General. He also helped align the technical training capabilities of Air Force Engineering and Technical Services personnel to enhance on-the-ground training for field-level personnel and units worldwide.
He has also held positions, such as commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Complex at Hill Air Force Base (AFB) in Utah, and the 78th Air Base Wing at Robins AFB in Georgia.
Mr. Buhler completed graduate studies at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces in national resource strategy and holds another advanced degree from the College of Naval Command and Staff in national security and strategic studies. Together, Carl Buhler and his wife were the AFMC nominees for the O'Malley Award, a combined award for a commander and spouse.
