An independent, nonprofit Cape Cod institution, Camp Farley offers campers a full range of outdoor activities, including canoeing, archery, swimming, and kayaking. Emphasizing a welcoming, culturally diverse environment, Camp Farley fosters teamwork and self-reliance and encourages children to make new friends through shared activities.
Among the activities students take part in on a daily basis are arts and crafts, drama, and animal care. Camp electives include outdoor-living skills, which teaches young learners to build a fire, cook in the open, and create shelter for survival. A popular added-cost program is horseback riding, which ensures that youngsters acquire basic equestrian skills before they take to the saddle and explore area trails.
Dedicated to creating positive camping experiences, the Camp Farley staff prepares healthy, well-balanced snacks and meals each day. Typical fare includes yogurt, cereal, fresh fruits, and peanut butter and/or jelly sandwiches. Vegetarian options are also available, provided that campers have stated their preference in advance.
