iOS 11 Release Date: What Do We Know About it? |
Posted: August 29, 2017 |
The iOS 11 is the latest in a long line of superb and successful operating platforms as far as Apple, the Cupertino-based tech giant, is concerned. Essentially, when we talk of the mobile operating system ecosystem, two entries rule it all: the Google Android platform and the Apple iOS platform. Of these, the Android OS already has a new ace up its sleeve: Android 8.0, dubbed Oreo. Now, we have the iOS 11 release date to deal with, which is something that can be surmised based on available data. iOS 11 Release Date: Predictions When it comes to the product lifecycle of the Apple OS, we can say that they are as regular as clockwork. That is, their actions are dependable enough to form a pattern. So, we have a reasonable estimate of when the new OS will arrive. Before that, however, we shall serve you three scoops of the iOS 11 which will make your wait for the new OS a sweet one. One, the new iOS 11 is said to come with a much better Dark Mode, also known as a Night Mode. What does it do? Essentially, it darkens the normally bright display of the iPhones and the iPads and makes the device more amenable to viewing. Imagine that you are in a darkened movie hall and you have to check your device for notifications. Or an incoming call has to be accepted. If you take out your device, you will risk the chance of upsetting your neighbor who might complain of such a bright display. The Night Mode is designed to turn the screen into a dark mode, where the bright white areas are reduced in intensity and the other colors are muted. Note that the previous iOS iterations too had a similar mode, called Classic Invert. The new mode is called Smart Invert and the 'smart' tag is justified. The 'smart' moniker is justified as the new mode works well. Two, we cannot but inform you that before the iOS 11 Release Date arrives, the SOS feature has been hailed as a great safety feature. The new SOS mode has been designed to work even on the minimal battery charge remaining and works well when the user is in a state of panic. While there are other platforms and with their respective safety features, the one great thing that the Apple SOS feature does is that it locks down the phone when the mode is activated. Multiple messages can also be sent. Three, the new iOS 11 has a great and customizable Control Center which was prone to lag only a few product cycles ago. This means that the user will have greater say on what apps will gain precedence over the rest and will also enable the user with a much-awaited feature of Drag and Drop. This latter feature works better with multi-finger gesture support. SInce the new iPhone 8 is set for a September 22 release and a September 12 unveil, we expect that the iOS 11 will release between September 8 and 14. This release date is also justifiable by precedents. Wrap up We hope that this guide to the iOS 11 release date has been useful to you. Should that be the case, feel free to share this post widely.
