3 Major Trends in Common iPhone Damages |
Posted: July 6, 2013 |
An iPhone is a significant investment for those who would have one, and the number one smartphone has lots of cool things it can do, so be stoked about it. It is cool. Information, apps, games, Internet and of course, calling people is now at the fingertip so sharing all of this information is really cool. Use the GPS to find Facebook friends and show up on their doorsteps or just find the neighbor’s house. It is so cool to have an iPhone! A protection sheet and high quality case are just two things which can protect the phone, but even with the most cautious and careful steps, bad things can happen. What could happen? Is the new phone doomed to the rubbish bin? Relax, there are some things that can be fixed so here are three very common damages and how to fix them. Cracks on the iPhone ScreenThe little tyke runs into the street and the iPhone along with a bag of groceries goes flying. The child is okay, the groceries are a bit worse for the wear but the phone now has an attractive crack on the LCD or backplate. Both are replaceable. Download what to do from the Internet or take to a repair facility. Those who are good with technical repairs can normally be okay, but even the best laid plans do go awry. Be safe and plan on the trip to the repair shop, and use that time to talk safety with the small child. Water or Liquid DamageSeeing a little one run off with a new iPhone and throw it in the loo is heart-wrenching, but don’t freak out and certainly do not punish the little one. Discipline certainly, but be sure to instruct at the same time about property, self-control and the correct purpose of the loo. The phone, on the other hand, will need a bit of TLC for a quick repair. Do two things:
Broken Dock Connector and No ChargeThis one may be child-free, but one can never tell with a child. If there is something wrong and the phone will not charge, there could be dirt/dust in the charger from the bottom of a bag – certainly not the one with the crushed cereal or 2 zillion toys. Use a compressed air spray to clean the debris or check to see if there is a charger problem. It may also be the dock connector. Replacement instructions are online, but the repair shop can get it running in no time at all. Kids may not always be to blame, particularly if the user is single, but there could be something that happened, even the user. There is no reason to generate an epic tale if airplanes, tigers, hand-to-hand combat or secret agents. Fess up, post a pic on Facebook and be sure to mention the repair shop for good measure.
