PEAK NT announces the arrival of their new Director of Performance Coaching, Ms. Lucy Galleher, M.A. Applied Sports and Performance Psychology. Lucy Galleher is a Sports and Performance Consultant who works with professional and semi-pro athletes and high performing executives. Lucy was a pair skater on the United States Figure Skating Team and a two time U.S. National Championship competitor. She has a Master’s degree in Sports and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver with a specialization in Biofeedback and Neurofeedback training for improving competitive performance. Lucy takes on the roll as Director of Performance Coaching at PEAK NT providing consulting and training services to individuals and groups seeking elite Athletic and Executive Performance Enhancement. Our peak performance program creates an individualized training package that may include neuropsychological assessment, metabolic testing, functional nutrition, neuroimaging, and cognitive-behavioral neurotraining. Her specialization is in personal coaching combined with neurofeedback to individualize training routines and optimize mental and physical function of individuals performing at elite levels. Lucy is a Member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, and the United States Figure Skating Association. Lucy is currently participating in the BCIA Certification Program to obtain her EEG and QEEG biofeedback certifications. A practiced Figure Skater in youth, Lucy was trained by Olympic coaches, and as a pair skater she represented the United States in Junior Grand Prix Competitions. Her Junior Grand Prix experiences include competitions in Japan, Poland, and California. A competitive athletic background and passion for sport sparked Lucy's fascination with psychology and the use of neurotraining for optimizing individual performance. She attended the University of Denver and received her Master’s Degree in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology. Her thesis investigated the “optimal mindset” in figure skating performance and identifying methods for directing positive change. Lucy offers her clients a unique blend of athletic and coaching expertise and understanding when providing them with a customized performance training program that maximizes both their mental and physical levels of functioning. Lucy was a Figure Skating Coach for the Professional Skaters Association, and a Consultant working with Olympic coaches of the U.S. Figure Skating Organization, Grassroots to Champions. Her past clients include the U.S National Gold Medal Synchronized Figure Skating Team, the National Irish Dance Team, the International Ballet School, and several competitive figure skaters. Lucy’s practice philosophy is “to be completely resilient and succeed at the highest levels, a competitor must be able to quiet their mind, thoroughly image their performance, and maintain a perfect balance of stress, concentration, and confidence.” In addition to our work with professional athletes and executives, PEAK NT provides Counseling, Nutrition and Metabolic Therapies, and Neurofeedback Training services targeting issues related to Stress and Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive, Mood, and Behavioral Disorders.
