Tickets to the Auditorium Previously I shared the analogy of Facebook being a huge auditorium, or perhaps a stadium, full of people coming and going at all times of the day and night, to see other people and share stories, or just to look around and take in the sounds and sights of the Facebook world. They can play games and join groups. They can share videos and photos as well as their own art and writing. They can share their favourite quotes, books and music. And they can get in for free, so it's a great place to go. The people love it and are loyal attendees, with good reason. In this auditorium or stadium...let's call it an Olympic stadium, since this is an Olympic year...there is a big stage which people and companies are clamouring to get up on. Some of the people in the stadium notice the stage and some don't, but those with something to say gladly pay for the privilege of getting up there and sharing their message with anyone who will pay attention. Out of all those people, they reason, someone surely will notice and take action. It's a numbers game after all. The thing is, not everyone there has a view of the stage...and because the loudspeakers have a limited range, the people are not able to hear the messages, should they choose to wander out of the stadium, even if they were likely to have been interested in those messages. Now let's look at the HPP stadium. Also crowded with people all times of the day and night. People who go to the HPP stadium for many different reasons. Like in the Facebook stadium, they can visit and share with other people from around the world. The sights and sounds they can take in are not limited to those brought into the stadium by other people, however. They have easy access to ALL the sights and sounds of the internet world. The HPP stadium has stations set up where visitors can stop to take part in various activities, alone or with others. They can go to a learning station and take a private course in almost any subject they want to learn about, including technology and digital devices. They can even get valuable information on marketing. They can go shopping at all their favourite onlineonline, finding the best bargains on what they want in an instant. They can play games, alone, with the family, or interactively with people from around the world. They can take their computers along and download software, knowing that because they are getting it in the HPP stadium that it is guaranteed safe. They can watch local and global news, weather and sports...even 'sport specific' sports results in real time. They can stop at the travel station and plan their next trip from all the best travel sites, many they did not even know existed. They can go to Pub Med or numerous other sites for medical information, and nutritional advice. They can share videos and photos, stories and music, art and writing. And all the time there are more new and exciting things being added for them to do, so they are always eager to go back. They can also do something else, however, which definitely does not exist in the other stadiums. The other stadiums did not plan for anything like this and so they do not have the facilities for it. The people in the HPP stadium can collect something called Smart Points, the currency of the HPP stadium. They can then spend these Smart Points in an ever expanding number of ways, such as buying desirable items from the Smart Points Shopping online store, joining in on the interactive, competitive games which they can play to win great prizes, and even getting entries into sweepstakes for travel and large cash prizes! Every day, just for being there they can go to the Smart Points booth and click a button to get at least one Smart Point...maybe more...for free. They can also stop at the Prize Draw booths and enter for free in Weekly and Monthly prize draws for great things like computers and cash. The people here can get in for free too, just as they can get into the Facebook stadium for free. But there is a catch. They need a ticket...it's a free ticket, but a ticket none the less. Someone has to give them the ticket. Someone who wants to give it to them for any of a number of reasons such as: Now, the question is, if you were given the opportunity to give away tickets to the HPP stadium, would you want to? Would any of the reasons above motivate you to just go out and give away the tickets to friends, family or even total strangers? Would it be difficult to give away the free tickets to people, knowing what awaits them inside the stadium? Oh sure, there will be small unobtrusive messages everywhere visitors go, but they can simply choose to ignore those they are not interested in, and view or click on the ones that catch their attention. And here is the big difference that all those people with a message to share will love. Everyone they want to have see their message, no matter where they are in the HPP Stadium, will be able to clearly see and hear it no matter where they go within the stadium. But even better, as long as they go through the HPP Stadium, they can go anywhere in the virtual world and the message will go with them. The message will go with the people wherever they go, but it will not be scorned because everyone will know that it is those messages, as it is on Facebook, which make all of this possible...
