Emotional Spring Cleaning |

Emotional Spring Cleaning Springtime has arrived – you know what that means! Spring Cleaning! Time to “clean house” of what is no longer serving you. [soap and water optional]
Here are some behaviors you may want to observe and see if they need to get cleaned out of your life. Comparing. You don’t yet realize you have it all and you ARE it all. Always, already. Put your God Glasses on and you’ll see what I mean. Blaming. Your response to any situation is always your choice. To choose to blame gives away your power. Controlling. Honor your boundaries, but ask if this need to control is justified or coming from fear and loss? Criticizing. When we allow others to be different, we are allowing ourselves to be free to see and choose our own preferences. Whining. Complaining is fear based—we pretend we’re doing something about our problem, but we’re really not. [nice try, though] Clinging to what is known. It feels safe for a boat to stay in the harbor, yes? Trouble is, that’s not what boats are made for… Being Ungrateful. Expressing gratitude sets our frequency on receiving. It opens us up for energy to flow instead of being constricted. Preaching. I know you think you’re helping, but it’s just judging in a fancy dress. Find more empowering ways to share your knowledge. Negative Self-talk. We would never talk to a friend the way we talk to ourselves. Nor do I think we’d let someone talk to us the way we talk to us. Concentrate on feeling good and watch the negative talking go away.
How have you been able to overcome these negative behaviors in your life? How have you become better at recognizing these behaviors and stopping them? Drop me a line and let me know! [email protected]
