The Solar System models is the gravitationally bound system consisting of the Sun and the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly. Of those objects that orbit the Sun directly, the largest eight are the planets, with the remainder being significantly smaller objects, such as dwarf planets, asteroids and comets. Of the objects that orbit the Sun indirectly—the moons—two are larger than the smallest planet, Mercury. The Solar System formed 4.6 billion years ago from the gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud.
These are the some of the facts about our universe which is in our school syllabus also. But the facts of the solar system is not limited to our school texts. There is so much about it, behind every such fact there is a story of hard work, struggle and lots of research of some of the finest of the finest minds of all time. Still there are so many researches which is going on and a lot can be expected in the future.
