There’s a new kid on the block - a luxury house on 39th Street appropriately named House 39. You may have seen the building at 225 East 39th Street because you can’t miss 37 stories of blue glass, and a curvaceous wall towering in Murray Hill.
Ever wondered what’s behind that blue glass curvaceous wall? Here’s a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom luxury residence that is located just on the other side of that curvaceous wall . The floor plans show the kitchen facing out towards the curved glass wall with a breakfast bar. The majority of the curved windows to enjoy this part of the city’s view had been designated for the living and dining rooms with approximately 19 X 15 square feet of usable space. The remaining section of the curvaceous glass wall is in one of the three bedrooms, spacious at approximately 11 X 11 square feet, with an expansive wall sized closet. There is another bedroom on the other side of the curved wall about the same size as the other bedroom mentioned. The master suite measures about 17 X 13 square feet and features a walk-in closet, another wall closet, floor-to-ceiling window, en-suite bathroom with double sink vanity, bath tub and separate shower.
The other side of the curvaceous wall is a different floor plan all together with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The design utilizes the curved wall to touch as much of the unit as possible. Both bedrooms share a portion of the curvaceous wall with a floor-to-ceiling window with solar shades. The bedrooms are about the same square footage but laid out a little differently. One has a walk-in closet and the other has a wall closet. The bathroom is just outside the doors of the bedrooms. The remaining portion of the curved wall is used for the living/dining room which is 14 X 12 square feet and includes a fireplace.
So, there you have it. The mystery behind the blue glass curved wall at House 39.
