Deleted iPhone messages is a reoccurring problem that a lot of the iPhone community has had to deal with at one point or another. This isn’t a problem that only concerns iPhone or iOS users, but one that smartphone users in general come across. However, just because they’ve been deleted, your messages aren’t lost forever. In this article, we’re going to show you how to recover deleted text on iPhone. Straight off the bat, it is important for you to know that you need to use your device as less as possible after deleting an important message. After it gets deleted, messages remains in the phone’s database, but it will get deleted to make room for new entries in the database, and more room is needed when completing more actions on the handset. Consult your operator Some operators keep records of all the calls and messages going through to, or from their customers, so there’s a chance that your operator can provide you with copies of the messages you deleted. While some might be happy to share the information with and some might be resilient, some might just not have records of your data, but if there’s a chance, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t try. iTunes backup There is also a possibility for you phone to have made backups and sent them to Apple’s iTunes servers. You can test out this theory by opening iTunes on your computer and selecting your phone from the top right corner. There, you should see an option regarding text messages, if your device has indeed made backups. iCloud backup Another option would be checking the iCloud servers. You can go to Apple’s iCloud website and search for the specific messages you are missing, in the Text Messages section. If you find them, go to your phone’s iCloud options, located under Settings. From there, go to Text Messages and turn them off. Choose the “Keep in my iPhone” option, then turn Text Messages back on and tap Merge. Third party apps If none of these methods bring positive results, you could also try a third party app. These apps aren’t miracle workers, and some don’t even work at all, but by getting one that has plenty of good reviews you have a good shot at getting those messages back.
