Solo Vehicle Crash on I-5 Freeway When Honda Hits Center Divider |

June 15, 2012 -According to reports a solo vehicle crash resulted in a Honda Pilot hitting the center divider wall of the I-5 Freeway. According to California Highway Patrol Officer Jody Stottlemyer the accident occurred Friday morning at approximately 6:45 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway near Camino Capistrano. CHP Officer Stottlemyer said the driver of the Honda Pilot was traveling in the southbound carpool lane of the I-5 Freeway, when a car in the No. 1 lane making a left turn and came close to the Honda. The driver identified as a woman attempted to move to the left to avoid a collision and struck the center divider and then made an abrupt right turn crossing all southbound lanes of traffic. California Highway Patrol Officer Stottlemyer said that the Honda Pilot came to rest in a construction zone next to Camino Capistrano. There were no injuries reported, officer Stottlemyer said.
