A rotating proxy is an intermediary server that acts as a gateway between a client and another server, typically the internet. When a user makes a request for information, the proxy server receives that request, evaluates it, and either forwards the request to the appropriate server or returns cached information to the user.
What is Proxy
Residential proxy can be used for a variety of purposes, such as improving performance by caching frequently accessed resources, filtering web content to enforce organizational policies or provide parental controls, and enhancing security by hiding the user's IP address or encrypting their internet traffic.
There are different types of proxies, including:
-
Forward proxy: a proxy that is used by a client to access resources on the internet.
-
Reverse proxy: a proxy that is used by a server to handle incoming requests from clients.
-
Transparent proxy: a proxy that intercepts network traffic without modifying it, and is often used for caching or content filtering.
-
Anonymous proxy: a proxy that hides the user's IP address and protects their identity.
-
High anonymity proxy: a proxy that not only hides the user's IP address but also prevents the target server from detecting that a proxy is being used.
