The famous co-host of the TV show, Todd Talbot showed that he did not love it as he listed his home in Lions Bay, B.C. at a whopping $2.4 million. It is an ancient West Contemporary home that was rebuilt in 1973. The house offers mesmerizing views of Howe Sound and was remodeled by the real estate expert and his wife from its original curved architecture to the modern one it has at present. The home has a three bedroom & three bathrooms along with an outdoor entertainment space that expands in around 1500 square feet. Although it is always the co-host Jillian Harris who offers home design tips on the show, Talbot also has a passion for decorating homes to perfection. Talbot confesses that if he was not a realtor he must have been a great architect. "That's what I love to do – renovate and design spaces, and create cool homes." Talbot also added that it was an "interesting emotional experience," selling his home. He says that it is his time to take the dose of his advice. Talking to CTV Morning Live, Talbot said, "We've poured our heart and soul into this property and it's going to be sad to pass it on to someone else," Talbot along with his wife Rebecca & two children are shifting to a 1200 square feet house in Vancouver. This is not only a case of downsizing but also the family is trading in the beach life. There new house is the one where the HGTV series is filmed. "It hit me emotionally more than I thought. Our kids were born there," Talbot says about the pending move. "I spent years building this place, but we're excited about our transition back to the city." Indeed it would be a tough decision to make as the house itself is so majestic. The rooms have great space for the family and the entertainment area was big enough to make the family at ease and enjoy. After all the efforts that Talbot gave to the home he has to list it because of some reasons is best known to him. His wife Rebecca was his partner in the remodeling in 1973 and today shares his decision of selling the house. Talbot proved that it is better to list it than to love it. It is now time to see how many people approach Talbot to buy this eclectic house. The price seems to be on the higher side but when compared to the excellence of the home it seems all worth. We are sure there are enough buyers in the market that respect the value of the house and will come forward with a bid. The show itself hit a great TRP as the news of Talbot listing his house broke. Let’s see who the new buyer becomes. Until the time, let the Talbot family enjoy their pending days in the house.
