I take it the Pixel 2 XL is your favorite Pixel model? |

INTRODUCTION The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, both manufactured by Google, have reached the end of their useful lifespan, and yesterday we said “Goodbye!” to further software support for the devices. As for the smaller, HTC-made Pixel 2, I can’t say the same thing because its outmoded look didn’t win over many of us. I will say this much about the LG-made Pixel 2 XL: its two-tone black-and-white color scheme is still one of our favorites. I’ll come right out and say it: the Pixel 2 XL is the best Pixel smartphone yet.(Pixel 2 XL Used)
Before winning over #teampixel, the Pixel 2 XL was met with initial criticism. Remember, it was the blue hue shift on the LG pOLED display that sent the globe into a frenzy. Google was reluctant to address concerns about screen burn-in and a lackluster color profile that the company was apparently imposing on us. The introduction was a bit of a catastrophe, with limited availability and confusingly long delays for those who wanted the black and white edition, and the price tag of $849 was astronomical at the time.

But gosh, once you got into using it, it was fantastic. The non-glass back had an oddly gripping plastic coating, making the device manageable despite its massive stature. It included a rapid fingerprint reader, dual speakers, a soft but firm haptic feedback, a sensitive touch screen, and Google’s finely honed software. It also had the first always-on screen on a Google product, as far as I know.
Remember that Google’s initial chip, the Pixel Visual Core, made its debut in the Pixel 2 as well. You may not be aware that Google unveiled both Pixel 2 phones and waited a full two weeks before disclosing the existence of this secret chip and informing us of its HDR+ capabilities and promised later enablement. With a record-breaking DxOMark score, this phone was unrivaled in the history of mobile photography. SEE ALSO : Tips for Using the Internet to Advertise Job Openings Even in this hue. We voted for “Penguin,” but the majority chose “Panda.” Its orange accent in the power button stands out against the black and white back and the soft-touch material. Metal accents may be found in the “G” logo and around the fingerprint reader’s circumference.
That was my iPhone right here! Since then, no other mobile device has become the first of its kind. By perusing the responses to yesterday’s post, I see that I’m not the only one who is sad that the December update will be the final.
The New Pixel 2 XL
I don’t think Google has come close to duplicating what it gave in 2017 in the three years after the launch of the Pixel 2 XL, which was widely praised by consumers. The fact that Google was only willing to discuss sales figures for the Pixel 2 series suggests that this is indeed the case. Pre-orders for the Pixel 2 were significantly higher than those for the original Pixel. Massive drops have occurred since since the release of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 4. Even though it’s a good phone, the Pixel 5 can’t compare to the Pixel 2 XL. Howdy, Pixel 6! Fantastic, but we hope to see you again soon, Penguin.
