With such a scenario, most students are quandary about choosing the right B-school. Here are some tips to help you make the right choice. MBA in India is a dream shared by thousands of people every year. But, with so many B-schools opening up in the country with an assurance to deliver a rigorous and transformational education, choosing the best school of management in India has become a difficult task. However, to seek admission in top management school, one needs to be observant of following factors: Rigor of the Selection Process & Quality of Students Since top school of management attracts thousands of students to get in, this in turn makes the selection process of these institutes difficult. Thus, a good institute and good students share a reciprocal relationship. Also, the quality of a B-School is directly proportional to the rigor of the selection process. It is similar to the saying that the better the institute, the more difficult it is to get in, and the easier it is to get admission to an institute, the higher the chance that the institute is not worth getting into. Location of the B-School Geographical location is the other factor that has to be considered while choosing the top B-School in the country as companies often find it much easier to recruit management graduates from institutes positioned physically closer to their own head office rather than go to an institute which is far away. For this reason, institutes located in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bangalore score better than institutes based in other cities. Image of the Institute A factor that need not specially be emphasized is the reputation a given management institute commands and the image it preserves in the industry. While it can be said that it is natural for older institutes to have a better reputation than the ones that have started recently, it cannot always be true. There are also possibilities that, a newly set-up institute has been established by an older, reputed institute. In such cases, the "parent" institute certainly helps the new institute through its initial formative years and gets you the best in class facilities and placement support for the better future. So, it is wise to do groundwork on the best institute and pick one wisely. Programmes Offered By the Institute Many students also apply to institutes based on the programmes offered by them. Students should note that though the image of the institute gives credibility to such programmes yet it cannot be equated that every time the quality education has been provided. As one goes down the ratings list, students’ needs to carefully evaluate such specialized programmes before applying to them. Return on Investment Return on Investment is the other most important parameter in the selection of the management institute. Students need to consider how much money they can expect to make after completing an MBA from a given institute and how much money will be spent in acquiring the degree. Though, it is also relatively easy to get an education loan from banks at reduced rates of interest particularly for those studying at top school of management india. Sometimes, a given bank may not 'recognize' the management institute to which the student has secured admission. In such cases, the bank may still provide a loan if the student is able to hand over an adequate security. If a student gets an offer of admission from the top B-Schools, he/she should not let go the offer on account of the financial cost. The right kind of effort should be made to secure a scholarship, the institute provides to the meritorious students.
