The 12-credit Certificate in Hindu Civilizational Studies (CHCS) examines Hindu civilization from a Hindu perspective. It helps students comprehend Hindu Dharma as one of the world's oldest, continuous, and still-thriving cultures. Through its culture and knowledge traditions, it reveals Dharma, or sustainability or natural order. Through rigorous study of Hindu Civilization, this program helps students discover, reconnect, and deeply establish Sanatana Dharma. Certificate in Hindu Civilizational Studies It comprises of Two parts: 1.Exploring Hinduism—a series of courses to understand Sanatana Dharma and Hindu thinking, the foundation of Hindu Civilization, through studying its history, aspects, and practices. Sanatana Dharma? What's Hinduism? Hinduism began when? Who's Hindu? Hindus' differences? Hinduism: relevant today? "Exploring Hinduism" classes answer such questions. 2. Hindu Contributions to the World - courses on how the Hindu civilisation and its knowledge systems influenced world advancement in Matter and Mind. This series of lectures analyzes the sciences, technologies, innovations, industry, prosperity, wealth, and intellectual leadership that made India a sought-after civilization across time. It is now known that India dominated world trade for 2000 years, supplying 30% of it. India's rise is barely mentioned. What resulted? What traded? This set of courses examines the components of this 33% of world trade and its impact on the world and India. This topic is rarely addressed. The fundamental question "How could this civilization give all this and more – both to the East and the West?" is also addressed. Participants can join any quarter and finish the eight courses in any sequence and at their own speed to earn their certification. This program is open to everybody, regardless of Indian or Hindu heritage, worldwide. It will show how the Hindu, Bharatiya, and Indic world differs from ours. Program Learning Outcomes: At the end of this program, students will be able to: Explain the Hindu Paradigm of Dharma Describe salient aspects of the Hindu Civilization Critique various misrepresentations of Hinduism Synthesize an expansive account of world history Establish an expanded sense of purpose and relevance Target Audience: This curriculum is ideal for personal advancement in any of the following areas. 1) Academics—Students can enroll in this course program at times that don't conflict with their main academic programs to get an international credit-bearing certification. 2) Career– Professionals and individuals can attend this as a Continued Education program to enhance their professions by gaining inspiration, ideas, conviction, and direction to innovate or contribute to Dharma and sustainability. 3) Cultural—Where kids, friends, parents, and grandparents can gather in the same place or across continents to discuss their roots, customs, and culture, even in geographically separated households. Program context: What distinguishes someone in a competitive world where many are similarly qualified? A purpose? Passion for change? SEL skills? These are non-literacy skills and attitudes. Creative problem-solving, communication, and responsible social participation are their main competencies. Unlike Core Foundational abilities, which can be taught, SEL skills must be fostered utilizing approaches that spark curiosity, ideas, thought, and confidence. Hindu Civilization has a millennia-long history of survival, growth, and wisdom. Since the Hindu Civilization is based on Dharma, its secrets are applicable to everyone. This program considers 21st-century needs and Hindu ideas and civilization's importance to humanity.
