For the first, second, and third years of post-primary education, this new Junior Cycle Business Studies standard includes teaching, learning, and evaluation in business studies.
The purpose of business studies is to pique students' interest in the corporate world and how people operate within it. In addition to increasing their self-awareness as learners, it helps students acquire the abilities, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours necessary to make wise decisions with the information at hand, assuring their own and society's welfare.
Through the three interconnected strands of Personal Finance, Enterprise, and Our Economy, the specification focuses on enhancing students' awareness of the business environment and on building skills for life, work, and further study.
