Now let’s get a proper taste of some authentic British favourites. London is jam-packed full of opportunities to enjoy the best of British cuisine. Despite the melting pot nature of the city in 2026, classic staples remain a vital part of the city’s food culture and can be found on almost every street, whether you’re looking in a rather unassuming pub, or a fine dining restaurant in Soho. 

You can also never go wrong with a good chippy. Fish and chips continues to be a beloved dish, with the best chippies offering up the very best freshly caught, locally sourced fish at an absolute bargain – especially when you consider how much you’d be paying elsewhere for similar ingredients.
