If you are not feeling very motivated these days you might be a little worried. But there is nothing to worry about because it is a very common problem with many individuals. Due to the monotonous lifestyle as well as the towering work pressure and stress, you might feel a little lazy and completely demotivated. While there is no problem in feeling that way, what you need to focus on is getting out of this phase on your own.
Here is a list of thirteen plain and simple solutions to motivate yourself. Having overcome small bouts of demotivation in his life, Joven Cabasag, the CEO of GanoLife International, shares some effective ideas on how to motivate yourself:
1. Make a deal with yourself – Be it a small or a large one, make a deal with yourself. For instance, you can go for a walk and enjoy a burger once you are done with a certain assignment. Using such small rewards will encourage you to continue doing the good work. 2. Think about the positive aspects of your life – Instead of nagging and complaining about what you don't have, focus on what you do have. Think about the things that make you very happy in your life and be thankful for them. 3. Act like you are motivated – If you don't feel motivated, act like it and it will actually work! 4. Finish the small tasks – It is important to give yourself a push, at times, especially when you seem to be stuck in a rut. You can do that by finishing small tasks like paying the electric bills or cleaning your desk. 5. Set a large goal – You can also set a specific and big goal to keep you motivated in the long run. 6. Start with the hardest tasks – This is a great trick to motivate yourself as it helps you regain your lost confidence. Since people often postpone doing the toughest task and the worry stays at the back of their mind while they are doing other work. It pays to get the toughest job done at the beginning and be done with the fear and worry. 7. Think about your past achievements – If you have been unable to achieve something in the recent days, Joven Cabasag advises you to think about what you did in the past. This will help you to feel confident and competent enough to tackle on a new task. 8. Give it a slow start – Just as they say slow and steady wins the race, you need to start the journey of achieving your goal at a slow pace. When you do that, the task won't seem to be very hard to you. 9. Remember what your role-models do – Read about, watch, or listen to the glorious deeds of your role-models and convince yourself that you too can do the same and make your life worthwhile. 10. Enjoy whatever you are doing – Try to create fun at work because this will help you to stay motivated, and encourages you to finish the work on time since you are having fun. 11. Keep up the sportsman spirit – Joven Cabasag advises that even if you fail in a business venture; do not let it discourage you from exploring other ventures. Instead, consider it as a lesson and an obvious part of a successful life. 12. Step out of your comfort zone – This is one of the best tricks to keep you motivated. Coming out of your comfort zone and being able to perform equally well gives you a real boost of motivation and confidence in yourself. 13. Read motivational stories – This is probably the most effective trick to follow. Read not only motivational stories, but also the case studies of successful people who have been able to overcome all hurdles in their life and achieve great success.
This actually helps you feel positive and confident about yourself and motivates you to move forward in life.
