Steps to change the filter

To change the filter, first turn off the pump of the spa. By turning the pump of, you can be assured that the system will not get damaged. The spa can be tuned off at the GFCI breaker or can be put into the standby stage.

Next, place the D1 filter in the filter compartment. The D1 filter can be placed either in one or two compartments of filter.

Once, this is done, remove the entree lid. To remove the lid, rotate the lid first counterclockwise and align the tabs. After this is done, slowly lift the lid in an upward direction.

The filter cartridge will be in a locked position. To release it, twist the filter counterclockwise and lift it upwards.

Check the pool filter and rinse off the dirt that is accumulated on the filter. Make sure that you do not use a high pressure to clean off the dirt as this can damage the parts of the filter cartridge.

Some D1 models consists of a filter screen that is placed on the inner side of the filter. This filter screen is secured with the help of retaining clips. In order to remove the filter screen, first the retaining clips have to be removed, using a screwdriver. Once you hose it off, replace the filter screen and tighten the retaining clips.
Tips to Increase the Life of Your Dimension One Filter

The process of deep cleaning the filters should be performed at least once in every month.

Many people make the mistake of using household cleaners to clean their filters. You should never use a household cleaner for this purpose, instead, use filter cleaners to clean your filter.

Once you clean the filter cartridges, never reinstall them in a wet condition. Wait for the filter and the cartridges to dry before you install them back into the filter.

Always keep a spare filter so that when you clean your filter, you can use the alternate filter. If you have an extra filter with you, you will not be in a hurry to reinstall the cleaned filter back into the spa or swimming pool.
