Adding Flair to Boring Windows of the House |
Posted: May 15, 2017 |
There was a time when real estate investing was considered as a risky career option. Not a lot of people understood how the real estate market works, which means that those who did their homework were able to take advantage of a seemingly exclusive market. These days, real estate still has its risks, but more and more people are learning the ropes, hopeful to get a piece of the success pie. Unfortunately for regular people who simply want to own a house, they may experience some of the misgivings of novice real estate brokers and investors.
One perfect example of how properties are getting less love from these new investors are housing projects that are being put up with bare minimum specifications, just enough to be considered livable. Windows in particular are as bare as a boring pane of glass, absent of any artistic quality. Of course, not all real estate projects are like this. But if home owners end up in homes where minimalism is not an art but a cost-cutting measure, then it’s definitely in their best interest to spice up their homes, the windows of their new home, to be more specific. A great way to do this with minimal investment is simply adding a layer of tint to the window pane. It doesn't sound much, but a simple dark tint can wash away the boring look of a plain glass pane. Home owners can also install a fly screen layer for their windows to add functionality. It's easy to forget how dangerous flies can be because of their size. Most of the time, people shoo them away because of their incessant buzzing and not for the fact that they are carriers of multitude of bacteria. A responsible real estate agent should really be one that recommends fly screens to their clients. But then again, they wouldn't really recommend something that they themselves could have added in the first place. But to be fair, it's not really their fault since some home owners prefer to not have them. It would cost investors more to remove them compared to not having to spend anything at all if buyers were the ones to add them later on. Blinds are also great additions to windows, both in form and function. There are so many benefits to using blinds, which includes being able to control the light coming inside the room. Blinds can also let home owners peek out of their windows without people on the street noticing. This benefit is mostly for security. With so many blinds available in the market, home owners might be overwhelmed in choosing the right one. They have to make blinds match their interior design, in addition to making sure that it is manufactured with nothing but the highest quality. There are several reviews that can help home owners in this matter. Build quality is easy enough to check. But the taste for design might be a bit time-consuming, which is perfectly normal for a family who wants to live in a home that they want to be comfortable in.
