QQ Mail is probably the world?s biggest email service providers and is associated with one of the world?s biggest social networks, but if you live in the United States, Canada, UK, Australia, etc. you may have never heard of it. That?s because QQ Mail (or qqmail) is really a Chinese email service intended to give residents of China alternatives to sites and services that are banned in that country.
That doesn?t imply that only Chinese people can sign up for qqmail, though. In fact, it?s growing in acceptance, especially among individuals who have enterprise partnerships in China, penpals, or who would like to find someone to practice their Chinese with.
That being said, registering for qqmail could be tricky for English audio speakers residing outside of China. Here, we have a detail by detail tutorial for how to open a QQ Mail bank account in English.
How to open a qqmail account
Your first step is to go to the subscribe page. If you Google the key phrase ?QQ subscribe?, you?ll get two diverse results that will take you to what looks like the same page, however, in my experience the first effect (zc.qq.com/en/) gets a little temperamental. So I would rather use the second result, which is: https://ssl.zc.qq.com/en/index.html
This is what the QQ Mail sign up page looks like:
And here is a close-up chance of the URL of the variant of the site that doesn?t start off randomly blinking blue lights in all the drop-down boxes:
Now you need to complete the different boxes with your information. In the first box, start typing your primary email address (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, etc.). Once you do, a dropdown menu can look so you can select the domain for your email (that?s the component that employs the ?@? sign). You should get yourself a nice green check mark when QQ verifies that is a valid email.
Continue by picking a nickname. It can be whatever you want and it seems that it doesn?t must be unique, since you?ll get yourself a unique QQ ID quantity as your account identifier. After that, select a password that meets certain requirements stated in the tiny popup box, and enter it again to confirm it.
The QQ?? sign up page will let you understand how strong or poor your password is, but it will allow you to continue with a fragile one (although this isn?t really recommended). Now, continue filling in the fields with your information, selecting your sex, birth date, and location. Finally, type the verification code in the box in the bottom to establish you aren?t a robot, make certain the box is checked indicating you?ve read the fine print, and click ? qq sign up email up now?.
Now QQ Mail will send you a text to your mobile phone for additional verification.
IMPORTANT! If you just go typing your phone number in right now, it won?t work because it?s set to accept only figures from mainland China. If qq mail ?t Chinese, as it most likely isn?t, go through the link that says ?select your country/region?, and then pick your country with the correct code from the list.
After that, it is possible to enter your mobile phone number and you should get a free SMS text message within a matter of seconds which has a 6-8 digit program code. Type that code into the box, and submit it. If it is the right code, you have to be taken to a page letting you know that QQ Mail sent an activation e mail to the tackle you used to sign up.
Note: The first time I entered my verification program code, I got an error saying I had tried to sign up too many instances and I was blocked for 24 hours. I have no thought how this happened except that maybe something weird took place with my connection also it tried to send the web page twice. Anyway, it worked right now, so if this happens for you, don?t panic. Simply try again the next day.
Next, you need to check your email for the activation hyperlink. I used Gmail to join up for qqmail also it was sent to my ?Updates? tab, but your mileage may vary. Click on the big ol? link in the body of the email.
Tadaa! Your QQ Mail will be all set up and you can sign in by pressing the big green button. Also you can set your security questions from this page, which is always a good idea.
And in this article?s something neat. Instead of scribbling your new QQ quantity down on a post-it note that will probably fall off your screen and become lost forever, go through the tiny button that appears like a notepad next to the ID number. This will download a text file you could open in Notepad.
