192.168.1.5 is a Class C private IPV4 address that can be assigned to any device connected to a home wireless network if it’s one of the available addresses in the DHCP pool. If your modem’s/router’s default gateway is 192.168.1.1 (various manufacturers use it as a default gateway for their devices – Cisco, Dell, Actiontec, Airlink, Asus, Aztech, D-Link, Eminent, Huawei, Linksys, Siemens, etc.), or if your router’s gateway is 192.168.1.254, 192.168.1.5 will be one of the available IP addresses and it can be assigned to your PC, phone, tablet, etc.
