The Tour du Mont Blanc is one of the world’s most famous hiking trails. The famous ski resort of the Chamonix Valley holds a number of smaller communes, such as Argentines, Servoz and Les Houches, with the Tour du Mont Blanc beginning their first hike to Lac Blanc, a spectacular glacial lake nestled amongst panoramic views at 2352m above sea level. The trail guides hikers through the Alpine borders of three countries, beginning in Les Houches in France, travelling clockwise through from Argentieres to La Forclaz. The trek arrives va the bovine route to Champex, in Switzerland, on the fifth day, before taking the incredible Grand Col Ferret route to La Palud Italy’s Valle d’Aosta.
