Your Health Goals Are Making You More Stressed!
People are more stressed for longer periods of time than ever before in history!
There’s a big lie going around about improving health, fitness and wellbeing. It goes a little bit like this:
“If you make a few changes to your diet, get to bed on time and take some exercise then you’ll start to get the results that you’re after”
There’s a problem with this though. The changes that you’re told to make, that are all over the internet and social media are a one size fits all solutions. They are most probably going to cause you more stress than good health in the transition. Even in the long term quite possibly.
What do I mean?
Well, have you ever felt compelled to do something because you ‘thought’ it was right, but, it didn’t ‘feel’ right?
You thought and thought about changing. You rationalised that the solution you came up with was right for you and then jumped in and made changes. It probably felt like you were living someone else’s life for a while. It may have actually increased your stress levels, the very thing you wanted to improve!
When it comes to making changes that improve health and wellbeing and therefore your fitness, you need to get very clear on your root values before doing so.
