Recognized as a leading natural resources executive in the United States and beyond, Robert Wheeler is a current managing director with the Natural Resources Group at Deutsche Bank in Houston, Texas. During his time with the company, he has focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions of integrated and downstream companies in the field of oil and natural gas. In addition to covering and executing IPOs for clients such as Alon and Western, Robert Wheeler played an integral role in the sale of Valero Lima Refinery to Husky Oil and the sale of Come-by-Chance to Harvest.
Before taking up his current responsibilities at Deutsche Bank, he spent several years as a managing director in natural resources with Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation in New York City. He also worked as an associate in European mergers and acquisitions at the Credit Suisse First Boston Limited office in London, where he performed generalist functions in natural resources. He holds an honors bachelor of science in finance with minors in economics and accounting.
