The Ministry of Railways has privatized Rani Kamalapati Railway Station, making it India's first private railway station built under the PPP partnership system. It is built with all the modern facilities for railway passengers. The station has the facilities like a shopping complex, cafeterias, medical shops, florist shops, retail spaces, bookshops, forex kiosks, etc. Bansal Group has taken the responsibility from IRSDC, of turning the railway station into a benchmark for all similar future endeavors. The railway station is designed and built as per green building parameters in maximum use of natural light, better ventilation, use of recyclable materials, use of recycled water, tapping of solar power, rainwater harvesting environmentally friendly construction.
