| Most robotic vacuums are round and few of them are square or D-shaped. The height of the robotic vacuum cleaner is quite flat, so in domestic aids they can also go under furniture and clean there. With the driving wheels, usually in the form of 2 wheels, and the steering at the front, the robot navigates in any direction. Due to this construction, the robot vacuum cleaner is very easy to move, even reaching hard-to-reach areas around the house, such as cleaning under the sofa or bed. Even the smallest obstacles, such as door frames or cables, are not a problem for the robot vacuum cleaner. For many models, rugs are also not a problem.
The robot is generally navigated by sensors that detect and ''report'' on obstacles. Some appliances work their way up using the straight path strategy, that is, they change direction when moving toward a piece of furniture or a wall.
