Clinical psychologist Dr. Miriam Galindo holds a bachelor’s degree from Chapman University in Orange, California, as well as a master’s degree in social work from California State University in Long Beach. She earned her doctor of psychology from Trinity College of Graduate Studies in Anaheim, focusing on child custody evaluations. Dr. Miriam Galindo is also certified as a children’s play therapist, a forensic social worker, and a paralegal, and has worked in many aspects of child psychology and family therapy.
Previously, Dr. Galindo served as a school therapist at the Adult and Children’s Centre at Mater Dei High School in Tustin, California, and as a special education school therapist at Olive Crest Treatment Centre, helping children who had been abused or neglected. She also serves the Orange County Supreme Court on the list of approved experts on the topic of child custody. Dr. Galindo was recently cited in the news for her evaluation of the three children of Real Housewives of Orange County’s Tamra and Simon Barney, recommending that they do not appear on the show.
Dr. Galindo serves with Dr. Amy Stark at Families in Transition, offering co-parenting classes and reunification therapy. She also works with families and children in her private practice in Irvine, California.
