Founder and CEO, Michel Comtois formed Micom Laboratories Inc. in 1999 after having spent 14 years in research and contract laboratories managing various types of departments all related to physical chemistry, physics, mechanical and material testing. Michel’s role gave him firsthand experience and in-depth understanding of the development and testing process.
Throughout those years, Michel also served on various voluntary technical committees such as CAN/CGSB 44.232, CAN/CGSB 44.227 (Chair Person), CAN/CGSB 44.229, ISO TC 136 (Head of Canadian Delegation), ANSI/BIFMA X 5.1, ANSI/BIFMA X 5.2, ANSI/BIFMA X 5.3, ANSI/BIFMA X 5.4, ANSI/BIFMA X 5.5, ANSI/BIFMA X 5.6, ANSI/BIFMA X 5.9, ISTA, CCIL (Quebec Governmental Affairs).
Taking this valuable insight and his vision to provide high quality, cost-effective product testing for other technology companies, Michel (Micom Laboratories) began providing specialized testing services.
