Michael T. Jackson, a retired hedge fund manager and active philanthropist, resided in Belvedere, California, prior to moving to Florida in 2002. He maintains strong ties with the Belvedere community and has children and several grandchildren who live in Marin County and San Francisco. After retiring from the financial world, Michael T. Jackson has been devoting much of his time to philanthropic activities.
In 2014, Mr. Jackson and his wife Pepper were recognized for their sustained contributions to the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Bayview Child Health Center. With seven of their grandchildren delivered at CPMC, they are keenly aware of the Center’s most pressing needs and have donated funds that enabled an expansion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Their support allowed CMPC to purchase an advanced microsurgery microscope and state-of-the-art infant beds.
Mr. Jackson’s community focus has included major contributions to the National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health at the University of California, San Francisco. He is the founder of the Napa Medical Research Foundation and has previously served on the Board of the San Francisco Art Institute.
