How We Got Started
Max People specialises in providing recruitment solutions to the New Zealand Construction Industry. We focus on servicing the needs of the leading construction companies in the civil and commercial sectors. Max People is a newly formed Entity of the Max Group, which has inherited all the intellectual property, relationships and brand from Max Contracts following our company rebrand in 2018.
Through the years, we have formed solid relationships with leading clients, and we can work closely with them to forward plan their needs as we can offer a diverse range of services. These services include temporary, permanent as well as our unique Three-Tiered Managed Labour service packages. Our Managed Labour Packages, tailored to suit the client's needs with options to provide a team and team leader who will work in with the clients' on-site management to meet the requirements of the job.
Our internal staff have different backgrounds in the Construction sector and understand what elements are required to deliver a quality service to our existing and prospective clients.
We provide a ''managed'' labour solution by placing a team of workers comprising of project managers through to general labourers. This model has worked exceptionally well with our people involved in the Christchurch rebuild having completed some iconic projects such as the Art Gallery, Town Hall, Christchurch Hospital, Spark Project and currently working on the Metro Sports Facility. Our clients from these projects have recognised the advantages of this model and are requesting our services further afield of Christchurch, enabling us to scale nationally alongside them gradually. We are also able to supply individuals and smaller teams as required. We have grown a reputation with our clients as dependable and specialists in Recruitment, for their construction needs.
During the COVID-19 Alert Level 4, Max People has managed to retain all of its staff through the use of the government subsidy. As we have moved through Level 3 and 2, we have continued to retain all of our staff and are hopeful that this will continue into Level 1. We are looking to get in contact with MSD to assist with returning those to work who have recently found themselves unemployed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. We will promote this with our existing client base as we are all committed to getting the New Zealand economy going again.

We can also deliver Carpentry work packages in the civil and Commercial Sectors through our sister company Max Projects.
