While attending Texas A&M University, Marek Menger studied business and went on to work as a sales executive for Southwest Valve & Fitting. Two years later, he leveraged his knowledge of the valve industry to launch Petro-Valve, Inc., which he started with $20,000 of his personal savings. He led the company to fast growth and achieved more than $3 million in revenue in the first year of operation. Despite a huge downturn in the oil and gas market in the 1980s, Marek Menger continued to push the company forward, and by 1990 Petro-Valve, Inc. had reached $10 million in annual sales.
Mr. Menger now applies his business acumen and knowledge of the valve industry to lead Menger Valve, a Houston-based company that works with numerous leading valve manufacturers, including Durco, Velan, Aloyco, and Stockham. Available days, nights, and weekends, the company offers fast service and provides some of the industry's best Buyer Protection for its clients’ peace of mind.
Also experienced in the freight industry, Marek Menger founded ASAP Freight Systems, LLC in 1987. He continues to lead the company in providing a range of freight services throughout the country.
