For more than 25 years, Kimberly deCastro has served as the founder and chief executive officer of Wildflower International, Ltd., the largest woman-owned company in New Mexico. In this role, Kimberly deCastro is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the company, which specializes in the sale of IT products and services to the federal government agencies with which it partners.
Originally from Santa Fe, Kimberly deCastro has guided the firm to strong growth under her tenure, most recently expanding it in 2016 with the help of Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) grant funding, creating more than 80 jobs in the process. Her company has also earned HUBZone status through its employment of individuals who come from underserved backgrounds. In addition to her work, Ms. deCastro is a committed champion of conservation, having been honored by the U.S. Department of the Interior in the form of a “Land Stewardship and Development” award for her efforts in the restoration of 5,000 acres of wetlands in New Mexico.
