Kandi Derry Digiovanni serves as a care coordinator for the National Council of Alcoholism and Drug Dependence in Robbinsville, New Jersey. She conducts substance abuse and mental health evaluations using an enhanced Addiction Severity Index, which assesses not only substance dependency but also the urgency of presenting needs and evaluates child safety. Using the results of such evaluations, Kandi Derry Digiovanni oversees treatment delivery and helps clients to progress toward independent stability.
She holds a master of arts in counseling from Kean University, through which she completed an internship at Journey to Wellness in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. There, she gained experience in conducting intake assessments and providing counseling services in both individual and group settings.
Kandi Digiovanni has also served as an athletic trainer for Kean University. Responsible for helping athletes to remain in sound physical condition, she developed injury rehabilitation programs and applied preventive measures, as needed. She accepted this position after receiving her bachelor of science in athletic training from Kean, which she attended with the assistance of two field-specific scholarships.
