A student of philanthropy, international business executive Janet Ibru explores the methods of various philanthropic organizations and the philosophies behind them. She has sat on the boards of directors of nonprofit groups and contributed to charitable causes through donations and hands-on assistance. As the Business Operations Director of The Urban Passage, Inc., in Alexandria, Virginia, Janet Ibru aided in the early stages of the nonprofit, which focuses on providing the tools for adjudicated youth to find success after serving their time. Currently, she acts as Executive Manager of real estate and investment firm CASI Global Investments Corporation, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Janet Ibru grew up in the United Kingdom and spent several years laboring in and helping the people of Nigeria. At Price Waterhouse in Lagos, she worked as an Assistant Auditor before becoming an Assistant Consultant in the human resources department. She also served as Commercial Manager of Aero Contractors Company of Nigeria Limited. Beyond these professional endeavors, Janet Ibru delivered food weekly and visited with orphans, and she helped to feed the hungry over the Christmas holidays. She also taught children in Sunday school and at a Christian summer camp. Ms. Ibru still supports churches in Nigeria, and she serves on the Board of Trustees of MCIU University in Delta State.
