India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) is India’s first listed power sector infrastructure investment trust (InvIT), sponsored by KKR and SPGVL. Established on October 21, 2016, the entity is registered with SEBI pursuant to the InvIT regulations to own power transmission and solar assets. As of September 2020, we own 11 revenue-generating, operating assets, spanning over 28 transmission lines, spread across 6280 circuit KMs and 9 substations with 11,460 MVA transformation capacity across fourteen states and one Union Territory (see ''Portfolio assets''). Our assets under management (AUM) are currently worth ~INR 139 Bn (USD 1.80 Bn) with visibility of ~INR 180Bn (~US$2.5 Bn) over the next 12 - 18 months. IndiGrid maintains a robust balance sheet and has a AAA rating by CRISIL, ICRA, and India Ratings. We have proactively adopted a quarterly distribution policy even though investment trusts are required to distribute at least 90% of their net distributable cash flows to unitholders only once every six months. Our vision is to be the most admired yield vehicle in Asia, and we firmly believe that our power transmission assets, financial position, and business model will enable us to reach this goal while sustainably generating returns for investors.
