Japan to train 3 lakh Indian youths to boost their employability |
|
To combat unemployment, the Indian government has decided to provide skill training to talented youth. It has been making plans to send about 3 lakh youths to Japan so that they can participate in on-job training for a period of 3-5 years. This initiative has been set in store as a part of a skill development program. This information was shared by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister.
The cost burden of this initiative would be minimal for the Indian government as Japan has agreed to bear financial cost regarding skill training of technical interns from India. The Union cabinet has approved the signing of a MoC, Memorandum of Cooperation between Japan and India on TITP- Technical Intern Training Program, shared the skill development and entrepreneurship minister. He also added that the MoC might be signed during his own three-day visit to Tokyo that begins on October 16.
