Achieving Proper Food Balance For Health

This refers to the elephant in the room. The Western Diet. In all the attempts by modern food industry, the nutritional and food scientists, and the government advisors, to help us lose weight and be more healthy, what they've been doing is tinkering with the various nutritional components of the diet we're already eating. You might realise just how wrong this is, when you consider that the only thing nutritional science can agree on, is that the biggest dietary risk factor is eating a Western Diet.
Any time a population changes over to an Industrialised, Western diet and food system, Western diseases soon follow. It's pretty much the only type of research that is unequivocal; stop eating a processed, industrialised diet, and you massively decrease your chances of being overweight and having health complications. So what do you do now? Simply start to eat by the maxim, 'if I can't pick it or kill it, or make it myself (from foods I could have picked or killed), I probably shouldn't eat it'. This transition will take time, it will take effort, but the rewards are more than worth it.
