There are some disadvantages to exercising such as overextending your time at the gym so that you end up either obsessed about your weight or you put too much physical stress on your body. Using exercise to lose weight is recommended as long as it stays within normal boundaries. You should have a life that is balanced between family, work, and self. Exercise falls mainly under self unless you work in a fitness-related business or you work out with family members.
Another reason for not over obsessing with physical fitness is because your diet may be affected. It could come to a point where you avoid some food items, like sugar, because they might cause you to gain weight.
