| Bahrain is ruled by the House of Khalifa, a family of the Utub tribe Since 1783. Title of a ruler called “Hakim”, an Arabic word. Bahrain has had a total of twelve rulers since its founding. Bahrain was declared a Kingdom in 2002. Current. King of Bahrain is King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, He completed his secondary schooling at Leys public school in Cambridge, England, returning to Bahrain in the summer of 1967. He joined the Mons Officer Cadet School at Aldershot in England graduating on September 14, 1968.
