An experienced entrepreneur and business leader, Glenn Bucksbaum is one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most active philanthropist’s. As president of The Baum Foundation in San Francisco since 2003, Glenn Bucksbaum focused his support on enriching the lives of young people both academically and creatively.
His charitable work extends beyond his role of leading the foundation and includes support of organizations that give youth an opportunity to excel academically and to pursue vibrant careers. Over the last 15 years Glenn Bucksbaum has supported mission critical programs led by The Nature Conservancy and The Ocean Conservancy in the US and abroad. Projects are often long running such as the Reef Resilience program launched (by TNC) in 2004 to support the work of marine park managers worldwide. His vision extended into mission critical work such as the Red Alerta project in the Caribbean on the Isle of Youth in 2015 which helped to train the next generation of youth to develop their talents to monitor and protect their ocean environment.
While Baum Foundation programs continue to deliver impactful results, Glenn Bucksbaum remains open to new ideas and projects that focus on solutions and measurable outcomes. Every year a select group of new projects are invited to make grant proposals to the foundation in alignment with Baum Foundation programs in the arts, education and the environment.
