We got our first pool job in Orlando back in the 1980’s as above ground pool installers for the now bankrupt pool giant Recreational Factory Warehouse. We kept quite busy working for that company and probably installed about 300 above ground pools each year across Central Florida, and that didn’t even include replacing above ground pool liners. That may sound like an exaggeration to most people in other areas of this country, but Florida has a very mild winter climate and you can actually stay quite busy throughout the year doing pool work. During the 1990’s and after the new millennium a lot of the work we did was through Doughboy swimming pools Florida and other pool dealers like Pinch A Penny and Leslie’s pool stores.
