Ethan Draddy is the Scout Executive and CEO of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Baltimore Area Council. As CEO, he manages a staff of 70 and works with a board of 65 while providing supportive mentoring to more than 15,000 volunteers who serve nearly 37,000 boys and teenagers in Central Maryland. In this role, he has achieved consistent and steady membership growth for the BSA, and has maintained a high volunteer commitment. Ethan Draddy has seen consistent growth in membership since 2002, with a 74.8 percent volunteer retention rate. In order to reach new members, he maintains relationships with schools, unions, and other community organizations.
Ethan Draddy has been a longtime participant and employee of the Boy Scouts of America. Prior to taking on the title of CEO in Baltimore, he operated as District Executive in Toms River, New Jersey, and as Director of Field Service in Indianapolis. He began taking on increasing amounts of responsibility when he operated as a Scout Executive for Scranton-Wilkes-Barre in Pennslyvania. Ethan Draddy has a history of increasing income and revenue while balancing the budget each year; he oversaw a six-year budget growth to $6 million.
Committed to the growth of the BSA in Baltimore, Ethan Draddy is an aggressive and results-oriented fundraiser. He also has experience working in a variety of communities, including rural, urban, suburban, and military.
The Baltimore Area Council, Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations in Central Maryland. The BSA uses the youth outdoor programs of camping, fun and adventure to provide a program for young people that build character, trains youth in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness.
