Elizabeth Goodwin’s more than two decades in the scientific field have led her into many different roles. After graduating from Smith College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 1982 and a Master’s degree in the same subject a year later, she went on to earn a doctorate in Biology from Brandeis University in 1990. In 1994, she accepted the post of Assistant Professor of Cell Molecular and Structural Biology at Northwestern University Medical School, where she conducted research, managed a lab, taught courses, and secured funding for research. Elizabeth Goodwin also taught in the Genetics Department at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
After more than 15 years in higher education, Elizabeth Goodwin moved to the corporate side of the scientific community when Sunovian Pharmaceuticals hired her as a Senior Manager of Scientific Communications. Her role with that company was to research and write about the clinical trials of various drugs, and to present her findings at International Scientific Congresses. Performance reviews show that she consistently exceeded expectations, and “Ovation” awards from her colleagues demonstrate that she earned their respect.
Currently, Elizabeth Goodwin lives in Princeton, New Jersey, working for Bristol-Myers Squibb as Senior Manager of Scientific Communications, responsible for preparing clinical trial information and drug dossiers for pharmaceutical use.
