David Dygert is a longtime Columbus, Ohio, venture capital investor, real estate lender and commercial banker who maintains a strong charitable focus. The City of Upper Arlington (UA) and Upper Arlington Community Foundation are among the non-profit organizations he supports. Projects undertaken over the past several years include the rehabilitation of Amelita Mirolo Barn at Sunny 95 Park. David Dygert supports the foundation’s successful efforts to transform the historically important barn into a community activity center that includes an outdoor performance venue.
Columbus banker David Dygert also served on the UA Cultural Arts Commission for nearly a decade. As one of the commission’s nine members, he advised the staff on efforts to create a vibrant arts environment for the larger community. As a result, he received a “resolution of appreciation” from the City Council for his work on the commission. Real estate lender David Dygert also created and self funded a new sponsorship category and serves as the presenting sponsor for the Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival. Founded more than three decades ago, the festival features more than 200 vendors and artists each year and attracts approximately 25,000 visitors.
