Our goal at Dahlia is to provide our customers with the freshest flowers at the best prices and offer design services to help make the flower buying experience enjoyable and affordable.
How We Got Started
Dahlia was originally established in 1999 after its owner developed the first fresh flower departments at many of New York City's finest food stores, including Dean & DeLuca, Fairway and Gourmet Garage. We base our design and selection on the flower stands of Europe. We source our flowers directly from farms in the United States, South America, Central America and the flower auction markets in Holland and France
Favorite Part of the Business
We understand that our customers' floral budgets are very important. Year after year, the Zagat New York City Marketplace Guide has recoginized Dahlia as one of the best florists in all of New York City. Zagat has also recognized Dahlia as one of the ''Top 50 Bangs for the Buck'' of any kind of market in New York City. Zagat reports ''For flowers that last 'so long you start to question if they are real''' and ''Commuters count on the fact that you can pay $15 for a bouquet that looks like you spent $50...of the 'most wonderful flowers' whether for 'every day' [or] 'special occasions.'''
