Consultant Craig Richardville stands out as an award-winning executive in the healthcare industry. In 2017, he accepted the CIO of the Year Leadership Award from the Charlotte CIO Leadership Association in recognition of his impact on technology integration and digitization. Craig Richardville added this award to two other CIO of the Year honors, one from the Charlotte Business Journal and the other from the College of Healthcare and Information Management Systems and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
Craig Richardville began his consulting work after spending 21 years with Carolinas HealthCare System, which he most recently served as a senior vice president and the chief information and analytics officer. In this position, he developed and introduced a number of innovative strategies, including the country's first palm-vein scanning technology, which reduced duplicate medical records to 0.1 percent. He was also the first executive to integrate patient-generated medical data from Apple and Android apps into the network’s electronic medical records.
An advocate for diversity in the workforce, Craig Richardville received the 2017 System Resource Group Executive of the Year Award for diversity and inclusion representing the allied leaders by women, African-American men, and LGBTQ professionals. His leadership also ranked nationally in the top decile for ten straight years for teammate engagement by Press Ganey Associates.
