Construction Strategies, Inc. is a nation-wide full service commercial and industrial skilled tradespeople and electrical trades staffing company specializing in the construction industry. CSI's team of staffing professionals has a genuine commitment to professional, affordable and personalized service in the skilled trades staffing and labor support industry.
The Demand for Skilled Labor
For Jacobson, the need in the construction industry is clear. “There is high demand for skilled labor,” he says. “I’ve run electrician staffing companies for 16 years, and that hasn’t changed. Even when there are fewer construction projects under way as a result of the economy, there is still a need for skilled labor, and that’s what CSI is known for.”
The company’s employees have worked on large commercial and Industrial projects with some of the most respected contractors in the United States. “We’ve worked on schools, hospitals, data centers, power plants, warehouses and other commercial and industrial builds,” Jacobson says. “If a project needs skilled electricians, we come in and help get the project done.”
Recently, CSI joined forces with four of the merit contractors to supply 500 electricians to build one of the world’s largest microchip manufacturing plants. The company’s electricians also have worked on projects such as Target stores, CostCo locations, Super Wal-Mart stores and more.
Jacobson remembers a Costco project with JFK Electric that makes him particularly proud of his team. “Instead of the contractor being worried about his lack of manpower, he called us. We had 45 days to finish this very large job,” Jacobson says. “I had 30 guys, and we did finish it in 45 days. If a schedule is reasonable — even if it’s tight — we will finish on time. And we proved that with this project. ”

A Job Done Right
With nearly 100 full-time employees and the ability to recruit for any size project anywhere in the United States, CSI is a company built on integrity, quality and hard work. “We are a merit shop — we believe you get paid for the work you do,” Jacobson says. “So, the key to our success as a company is finding good, hardworking people who have a strong work ethic.” After all, that’s the standard that Jacobson holds himself to. He prides himself on working hard, being reliable and being honest and fair with both his employees and his clients.
To achieve his company goals, Jacobson relies on key team members like David White, Director of Marketing & Sales, and Office Manager Stacy Davies. And Jacobson’s right-hand man has long been Chris Harwick, Vice President of Operations. Harwick and Jacobson are cousins and business partners — and, Jacobson says, Harwick has been essential in determining a winning business strategy and driving CSI’s success.
With a belief in his team, Jacobson intends to expand his trades beyond electricians into HVAC contractors and plumbers, and in the next year, CSI plans to open offices in Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City and possibly San Diego. But even before those offices open, CSI can staff projects anywhere in the country.
“If a contractor needs something, we’re there 24/7,” Jacobson says. And from time to time, you might still catch a glimpse of Jacobson at the job site. Because at his core, he’s an electrician — one who understands what contractors need.
“Your client will be happy. You will be happy,” Jacobson says. “The job will get done right — and on time.”

What Sets Us Apart
Electrician Owned
Dan Jacobson gets it. The owner and president of Construction Strategies Inc. (CSI) has been an electrician for 30 years. So he understands contractors and builders, and he understands electricians. That’s what has helped him build CSI into a nationwide, full-service labor support company. He’s not the only electrician in the front office either. “We are electricians providing electricians,” Jacobson says. “Everyone dealing with contractors or our employees is an electrician.”
