Sri Lanka, an island nation, also known as the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’, has grown to be a popular tourist destination for holidaymakers over the last decade. Southern Sri Lanka is also a destination where you can get close to some national parks and enjoy the thrilling wildlife. Yala is a wonderful place to spot wild elephants and roaming leopards during your visit in down-south. Yala is the most touristic national park in the island because it has the highest density of leopards in the world and the chance of spotting a leopard is so high. You’ll probably see a rally of safari jeeps during its high season from December to February every year.
